Your Privacy Matters
When you come to therapy, it’s important that you feel safe and respected. Everything you share with me is treated with full confidentiality, in line with professional ethics and European data protection laws (like GDPR).
Here’s what that means in practice:
- What we talk about stays between us.
- Your personal details and session notes are securely stored and never shared without your permission.
- I won’t contact anyone about you or your sessions unless you ask me to or give written consent.
There are a few legal exceptions to confidentiality, which are rare but important to know:
- If there’s a serious risk of harm to you or someone else.
- If I become aware of abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable adult.
- If I’m legally required to share information (e.g., by court order).
If you ever have questions about privacy or how your information is handled, I’m always happy to talk it through. Your trust is at the heart of our work together.
